As found.
The top had lost its polish across the working area, with etching where acid had sat and fine scratching in the direction of daily wiping. The veining was still strong underneath.
What was done.
- Test patch cut in a low-visibility corner and shown to the owner before proceeding
- Honed back through diamond abrasives to remove the etched layer
- Re-polished through the grit sequence to a uniform gloss
- Sealed and cured before handover
What could not be fixed
A deep chip on the front edge was filled and colour-matched, not made invisible. It is visible from close up and the owner was told so before the job.
